28 Days of Reggae – Bunny Wailer

Bunny Wailer

Multi-Grammy award winner, Jah B, aka Bunny Wailer has been said to be one of the few, remaining standard-bearers of traditional roots reggae, writing and recording his own songs with spiritual and political themes.

Said to be the least vocal of the trio that has become the face of reggae – Bob Marley and The Wailers – Bunny Wailer changed his timid image when he opened his own studio, Solomonic, writing and performing lead vocals on his own tracks including Arab Oil Weapon, Bide Up, and Life Line. To date, Bunny Wailer has over 2 dozen releases in his catalogue, most of them on his own label.

Yeah, he had some beef with Snoop Lion, but that was really born out of passion and the desire to maintain Rastafari’s integrity and protect it from American capitalism and commercialism.

These days you can find this former Wailer at home, holding down the reggae fort.
